Born in Croatia, Dorees worked in the best hair salons and took part in hair shows and competitions in her home country. In 1990 she decided to move to London and pursue her love for hairdressing in one of the world’s biggest fashion centres. Having achieved recognition for her talent and personal style, soon after, Dorees opened her first salon Kaprice, which immediately became a five star member of the Good Salon Guide.

Being an independent business woman gave Dorees more freedom to explore her passion for hairstyling, becoming known for her outstanding cutting technique and her exceptional gift for colouring. Furthermore, this has allowed her to train other enthusiastic hairdressers, many of whom have gone on to open their own salons.

As well as being actively involved in the everyday salon business as the head stylist and style consultant, Dorees also does fashion shoots, catwalk hair and participates in Fashion Awareness Direct, a charity which helps young people find work in fashion. She has also been a semi-finalist for the coveted L’Oreal Colour Trophy.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR / MANAGER

Calum has got over twenty five years of experience in the hair and beauty world.
Having started his career in his native Cumbria, Calum was quickly recognised as a talent and became one of the most qualified colourists in his county at just sixteen. He was pronounced the colour student of the year and won regional colour trophy awards.
After working in cities such as Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow, Calum decided to go farther afield and camped to New York.
Twelve years of work saw him become salon manager / owner, art director ,consultant and in demand session stylist.
He has been working with major fashion houses, magazines , countless celebrities, and musicians.
Calum’s confidence and experience will put you at ease, entertain and charm you all whilst giving you a great service!
 

SENIOR STYLIST


Magda is one of the salon originals. She started training at 17 when the salon was under its previous name. Having qualified as a stylist in 2002, she soon became a Kerastase ambassador and a L’Oreal colour expert.
Magda is very passionate about hair styling. She will make you feel at ease, carefully listen to what you wish and give you exactly the cut and style you want.

SENIOR STYLIST

Graduated from the Nippon salon and beauty academy Tokyo in 2001.
After having worked as a junior stylist for a year, Naomi moved to New York, where she worked for five years as a senior stylist. In 2006 she was chosen to open the London branch of Hayato.
Three years later Naomi decided it was time to gain further experience away from a Japanese company and decided to join the Hive team.
Naomi comes with a broad variety of skills including cutting, colouring, styling and perming.
With ten years of salon experience and session styling, Naomi provides a high quality detailed service we are sure will not disappoint you!

PROGRESSIVE STYLIST

His career working as make-up artist has taken him from his home in Poland to Moscow, Berlin, Amsterdam and Tokyo, finally landing in London just three years ago. Recently adding hairstyling to his skills, Mika is at the last stages of training. With an eye firmly fixed on fashion, this young man has already worked with many designers and photographers. He is well on his way to becoming one of Hive’s top creative stylists.
